News from 2025

My “Latest News” roundup from 2025.

- November 2025 -

Philcon was a gem, tucked away in a hotel in Cherry Hill, NJ. I met and attended panels featuring Neil Clarke, Robert J. Sawyer, Charles Gannon, Esther Friesner, Alex Shvartsman, Ian Randal Strock, Aaron Rosenberg, and many others.

Compared to Dragon Con, part of the magic of Philcon was in the intimacy of bumping into these professionals in the lobby and striking up a conversation. Indeed, I upgraded from watching Robert J. Sawyer speak on a panel (Dragon Con) to being invited to join him and Neil Clarke for a drink at the bar (Philcon). Seriously, that happened and it was as incredible as it sounds. Everyone was so welcoming and gracious to new and upcoming writers.

- September 2025 -

Dragon Con was an absolute blast. I attended panels and events featuring the likes of Scott Lynch, Mary Robinette Kowal, Jonathan Maberry, Matt Dinniman, Robert J. Sawyer, Michael Stackpole, Toni Weisskopf, Lezli Robyn, and countless others. It was an honor to be there at the Dragon Awards and be nominated alongside so many wonderful authors and creators.
